Who I am + the journey I’ve started.

Hello. What I realized this morning, is that there’s never a “perfect” time to begin sharing your story publicly. You just start.

Here goes…

Let’s start with who I am. Which is a hard question to answer, too. Here’s the short-version of just the professional bit. In a nutshell, I’ve had an accomplished 25-year career in brand strategy and marketing; I’ve launched, supported, and grown many incredible brands, working with world-class leaders and alongside some of the best talent out there.

I’ve been a Retail executive leader and a “Chief” at a couple of smaller technology start-ups.  With that, I’ve had a reliable and steadily-growing career, and now, (deep breath) I’ve decided to jump paths and push my chips to the center of the table. I’m in the process of building something that hasn’t yet existed (in a crowded industry!) and taking my biggest professional risk yet.

This blog is about my journey. Note — it’s not going to be perfect. This is my first blog. And from a writing standpoint, my brain works faster than my fingers, and you will definitely end up finding ‘skipped words’ at times in my posts. Please forgive me, my husband is the writer in our family, but I’m the writer of this blog and story.

I promise (you and also myself) that I will keep track of what I’m building and how I’m building it. What I discover and learn. What I wish I’d known. And I hope that you travel this journey with me.
